A livelihood is sustainable when it can endure or recover from shocks and stresses
and maintain its capability to utilize available material and social resources to
earn a living, both at present and in the future which is lacking in the
absence of refined teaching and training material.
To resolve the problems faced by poverty-stricken people, capable human resources are required. It includes empowerment, capacity building and training. ICECD is a pioneer in sustainable livelihood training programs for men, women and facilitators. One of its prominent and noteworthy work was in training the rural tribal and disaster affected community to be self-reliant.
