Creating Safety Champions in Automobile Sector: PAN India

ICECD conducts Safety Training camps for school children and teachers for Fire Safety as well as Road Safety. The children and teachers are exposed to safety drills to help them quickly evacuate their classrooms and school building and assemble to a designated open assembly point on the premises in case of any unforeseen n disaster like fire, earthquake, etc. Fire department also holds fire extinguishing as part of the Safety Drill.

This not only sensitizes school children towards safety, but also teach them safety drills and safe actions to deal with any probable fire/disaster.

It is now established that most unsafe incidents/ accidents take place because o f n on-adherence of safety standards/processes by workforce.

ICECD, along with Castrol India Ltd. and Tata Motors has implemented the Minimum Mandatory Standards Programme towards enhancing safety skills and further developing a safety culture at Tata Motors dealer workshops and authorized service stations across India.

The intensive safety awareness training programmes by ICECD reached out to 1675 participants including General Managers, Asst. General Managers, Works Managers and Safety Coordinators from Tata Motors workshops, who left as 'Safety Champions' post the training.
